Larry Carr Memorial Golf Tournament
This annual charity tournament provides funding for services of Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. The fall event provides businesses and individuals an opportunity to participate in a first-class golf competition at one of the top courses in Kern County. The 2005 tournament will be held September 26th at the Bakersfield Country Club.

Children's Miracle Network
The BMH Foundation first partnered with the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) in 1992. Since then, the BMH Foundation has raised more than $2 million for children's healthcare services at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. CMN generates funds and awareness for children's services at 170 hospitals in the United States and Canada. Yearlong fundraising efforts include a telethon the weekend after Memorial Day every year on KGET TV 17; and a radiothon (dates vary) with The Big 96.5 country music station. The 2004 radiothon will be held December 2 - 4, 2004 in the lobby of Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. CMN's hallmark is that 100 percent of funds raised locally, stay locally.

BMH Foundation Gala
This annual event will be held in early 2005. In addition to a gourmet dinner and silent auction, a local physician will be honored for his/her significant contribution to healthcare in Kern County. Hans Einstein, MD was honored at the event held on October 25, 2003.

Campaigns
Major campaign planned!
Preliminary planning is underway for a major development campaign to help fund a $50 million capital project at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. The project includes an expansion of the emergency department, a patient tower with over 100 new hospital beds and re-design of the main lobby and entrance.
